MAN OF THE HOLIDAY?
23. 12. 2007 um 17:57 UhrIt has been an interesting breakfast this day.
While preparing our pancakes, bacon and pepper eggs - there was a male figure staring right at our home. This man would move a few feet - still stare. In the grass, on the parking pavement, in front of the laundry mat, back to the parking lot, over to the tree - then even up to the “no man” grass between the sidewalk and the road.
This appearance wouldn’t be half as questionable - BUT - it’s ugly weather, he doesn’t seem to have a car with him, nor does he seem to be doing laundry.
The silliness went on all through breakfast preparation and was still going on upon completing the consumption of the meal?!
ANYWAY - “the other half” took himself out of our home and just stood and starred back at him. There is nothing between our house and where this man was standing and starring straight ahead. You’d think he’d be looking at some of the traffic, etc.; but, at all time - just a starring white face looking directly at our home.
Apparently the “other half” had a little of an impression on him because he soon walked briskly through the alley - to the next road some place. Still no car and no laundry?!
JESSIE DAVIS FOUND
23. 06. 2007 um 19:15 UhrUPDATE: 3:46 a.m. - 25 June 2007
It has been amazing and wonderful to see the determination of my neighbors - their concern - their volunteerism and wonderful kindness as they searched for Jessie Davis this week. For some reason I could not bring myself to create a post about this tragedy although there was good information all over the country. God Bless you Jessie. Sad results of an apparently “risky” love life. Warnings of the heartbreak and danger of being involved with people married to others.
UPDATE: 7:30 p.m. - 23 June 2007 It’s ALSO amazing because Jessie’s body was found in Cuyahoga Valley National Park where I once worked and where my husband is still employed?!? TOO CLOSE in TOO MANY WAYS.

In this undated photo released by her mother, Jessie Davis, 26 of North Canton, Ohio, is shown. Davis, who is nine months pregnant, was reported missing Friday, June 15, 2007. Authorities say, Saturday, June 23, 2007, they have arrested Canton Patrolman Bobby Cutts Jr., the father of Jessie Marie Davis’ 2-year old son and unborn child, on murder charges and have recovered a body believed to be Jessie Marie Davis. Bobby Cutts Jr Arrested: Murder Charge After Jessie Davis Body Found
By Mike Baron - Jun 23, 2007
Bobby Cutts Jr Arrested In Jessie Davis Case - Bobby Cutts Jr is in custody and has has reportedly confessed to killing Jessie Marie Davis.
Police called a 6:00 p.m. news conference and had told the more than 50 search volunteers to stop searching.
The Canton Repository had reported that investigators found the body in Meyers Lake earlier in the day. However, the body of Jessie Davis was found in a National Park and surveilance video showed an area where a lake could not be seen. What could be seen is what appeared to be a shallow gravesite. Cutts Jr. is rumored to have led Police to the body.
Jessie Davis’ body believed in water
UPDATE: 4:59 PM, Saturday, June 23, 2007
Authorities are investigating whether the body of Jessie Marie Davis was dumped in a quarry in northeastern Stark County or in Meyers Lake.
Mounted patrols concentrated their searches Friday and today on several quarries near the home of Bobby Cutts Jr., the Canton police officer who was Davis’ boyfriend. But a source close to the family of Bobby Cutts Jr. said he may have led investigators today to the place where Davis’ body was, and is in police custody.
The Stark County sheriff and the FBI have called a “very important” press conference for 6 p.m.
The search that had continued for three days near Davis’ duplex in Lake Township broke off about 4:30 today.
Davis, 26, has not been seen since June 13. Cutts was among the last people known to have spoken with her. Cutts is the father of the 2-year-old who was found alone June 15 in the duplex, and is believed to be the father of the unborn child that Davis was to give birth to on July 3.

ISLAND BIRD
03. 06. 2007 um 16:39 UhrSeems as though nature has seen fit to drop a bundle baby at our side steps here at the Asphalt Island.
Most likely, you remember times in your life or the lives of your children when you have been blessed with the presence of a small creature that had fallen from its home some place and survived the fall to become a ward of your realm.
As an under five child I remember bringing a goose egg home from my grandfather’s farm with the express idea of hatching it. To hatch the egg in the same manner as birds hatch their eggs. I stuffed some comfy pillows together, gently placed the egg in a secure slot and made myself comfortable on the pillow stack! DUH - - pretty lame huh! Never claimed to be brilliant!
ANYWAY - - While in Germany - There was a family with six children living over our roof for the most of two years. Having a son close to their older children’s age, I got to know the children rather well and all of our children shared some special times together.
On two different occasions, the older daughter of our neighbor brought wounded baby birds to out house looking for an assist. With dropper in hand, cotton, box and a safe cardboard box - one two-week attempt was showing progress in a bird rescue. Upon transferring the ward to the children upstairs with instructions - - the bird promptly died. Just a “Gift to Everyday Life” - insert into memory slot as a growing experience for a child.
TODAY - June 3rd - Our 32 Anniversary by the way - There in our postage stamp sized side yard - Is yet another “Gift of Everyday Life” as you see in the picture. Hmmmmm - where are those children when you need them! Guess we will see if this little creature is meant to make it through or start over in a different life (whatever that means). No cardboard box adoption this time - just an offering of eatables and water.
FREE NATION LUNACY #1
25. 05. 2007 um 14:33 UhrIF - you as a parent - feel as though you are more qualified for a volunteer position - - speak up by all means - maybe a weaker coach would be more than happy to be replaced - this kind person may have only volunteered because in volunteering - his and other children get to play ball.
Based on THIS lawsuit from a parent suing little league?!? In our FREE country - seems as though people are just sitting around - looking for an opening to file a “lottery suit!!” and become independently secure at the expense of others - any others.
IF - you as a parent - DO NOT volunteer - DO NOT pay the coach for his time, attention and services - feel free to watch training periods. YOU as a parent need to assist your child in this learning process. If you can not play the sport yourself - the library, bookstores or sports stores offer tapes that you and your child can watch. We ALL need to do our parts.
There are many possibilities and many things can go wrong. There are accidents!! YEP - - accidents are real and they DO happen! Each team collects funds from parents in order to pay for accident insurance! EVERY lawsuit drives this basic cost higher - soon children may no longer afford to play the game at all. - Yet more couch potatoes.
Playgrounds have already vanished leaving few places for recreation - through the magic of lawsuits! Now - by all means - sue your neighbors for helping you and your child enjoy a sport. Geez people - look past the surface jerk here into the deeper picture.
There are many needs and many levels of skill available - SO - If you are relaxing in the luxury of not having to do the volunteer work and take the pressure, stress and confusion from all sides while teaching children most of the basics, guide the irate parents and keep track of all the TEAM responsibility and education teaching children to function as a TEAM - YOU as a parent are responsible to add to the knowledge being given to your child in individual areas.
Take the sliding education. ALL children have different levels of sports education and many have had previous sports training from previous experience. Children, also, probably will be slow to volunteer information about their lack of such training out of embarrassment. A volunteer parent can not possibly know ALL the shortcomings of his team members. Sliding (oh - ya - side thought - maybe soon, little league player will never experience sliding - insurance may some day not allow it??!) is an individual level desire to impress and play well/not a requirement to play the sport. IF - a coach demands sliding - this same type of coach will have also taught their players HOW to slide.
Training, such as sliding, would surely take away from the already short time available between weather, volunteer time and field availability. VOLUNTEER TO HELP - - OR - - DON’T WHINE AND BLAME!!
KENT STATE - May 4, 1970

All in all May 4th 1970 was a day of sad history. This date “sticks” in the minds of many. An exercise and question of freedom. The events of this date were shadowed by my activities in my military AIT (Advanced Individual Training) - The step in military service after basic training where you develop skills and an occupation suited for the U.S. Army.
People I graduated from High School with were attending college - right there at Kent State University - 30 miles from where I was born and raised - Youngtown, Ohio and there I was at what seemed to be the “enemy camp.”
Many people have just as many opinions and thoughts pertaining to the month of May 1970. My personal conclusion is - Considering that there had been riots over the weekend and that during these riots - The ROTC building was torched - The Kent State “powers that be” should have closed the campus on Monday - May 4th.

Instead - Two different groups of people - people the same young age - were pitted against each other. Young, nervous, inexperienced, wound-up and confused people were forced to confront each other with disastrous results. How ever you value and look at the events of May 4th 1970 - We hope and pray these events are never allowed to take place again.
